What’s New June

Remember the old March in-like-a-lion-out-like-a-lamb thing?  Well May/June took a piece of the action, with all of the severe weather and tornadic activity as the calendar changed.  Ma Feathers even found herself hunkered down in the basement half-bath with two rather freaked Maine Coon cats waiting for a tornado to pass by our little vale.  It touched down about ten miles away and took its sweet time dissipating.  So we are extra EXTRA glad to see the sunshine and puffy clouds today.

 

CALLING ALL HAPPILY MARRIED COUPLES!

Yes, you read right.  Ma Feathers is discussing a book project with a potential co-author, and it is NOT going to be about how to fix bad situations, but rather how to learn from the good ones.  The book will focus on what makes for happy and fulfilling relationships by concentrating on what works, showcasing couples who understand what goes into long term and loving relationships, and giving exercises, questions-for-dialogue and resources to help any relationship become a full-spectrum, strong partnership.

We are looking for happy people:  people who have been married/in a relationship for more than ten years where BOTH partners are fulfilled, mutually appreciative, and stable.  If you are one of these lucky folks (or know someone who is) please send an email to wordsvoices@capital.net with the subject line 60/60.  In the body of the email, tell us:

  • Who you are  (name, where you live, and how to get in touch with you)
  • How long you and your partner have been together
  • The three things you find have strengthened your relationship
  • What specifically you would like to share/teach other couples that you think would make a positive difference

Please spread the word.  We are going to choose six to eight couples to interview and to be part of the book project.

 

CALLING ALL PEOPLE IN THE TIDEWATER VIRGINIA AREA!

I am putting out real feelers to do a workshop weekend in the Tidewater area of Virginia – for you folks who don’t live there, that’s the Norfolk/Newport News/Virginia Beach etc. area of southeastern Virginia, right above the North Carolina border.  Am looking for any and all suggestions about groups or venues who would be interested in having a dynamic, funny, inspirational speaker lead workshops that will change the lives of those who attend.  Remember, what I do isn’t always the “wicky woo” but sometimes just taking your life challenges and flying through them with courage and wisdom — so I can speak with churches, support groups, etc. as well as Metaphysical/New Age venues.  Can you help out?  Or know someone who can?  Contact me and let’s put heads together.
