Word is out on the release of Robert Schwartz’s next book YOUR SOUL’S GIFT: The Healing Power of the Life You Planned Before You Were Born (and yes, I am again one of the channels!). The new book will come out in April (maybe even late March) IF there are no delays in the cover design process, the interior layout process, and the printing process. CORBIE’S CLOSET!

Everybody always comments on what I wear at shows. (Yep, I’m a clothes horse and always have been, whether it’s 16th century Tudor reproductions or modern day metaphysical beauties.) So I keep my rotation new and fresh, and when I see something that’s a real “Ma Feathers” number, it comes home with me. However, that means that some things get pushed to the back of the closet, never to be seen again – even though they are lovely. So my webwizards are helping me set up “Corbie’s Closet” – your chance to own some of the gently-used yummies that I’ve enjoyed over the years. We’ll have good-quality pictures and descriptions, and the prices will be a fraction of the original cost. WILKES-BARRE SPECIAL WEEKEND

You know, I was *supposed* to do a fair in Wilkes-Barre this month but it got Squashed by Fate… still, I haven’t seen my upstate PA folks in a LONG time. So: PSYCHIC EVENT: February 11th & 12th I’ll be in Wilkes-Barre PA at the Hampton Inn for a weekend of Private Psychic Readings co-hosted with my colleague and very good friend Coryelle Kramer. There are so many of these Enlightenment Sound Bites around – and while they may be meant to inspire, they can often set us up to “fail” at yet something else.

I hate to be a party pooper, but simple things like this don’t take into account the complexity of our world today, the multiple places our attention needs to go, the demands of a world that says we are “on call 24/7.”

Thirty years ago, people had a weekend that was respected rather than needing to work seven days a week. They were allowed to take a lunch break without appearing to be a “slacker” who “isn’t serious about their job.” Their boss did not feel that texting or calling them on their honeymoon to handle a work-related problem was appropriate. (Yes, I know someone to whom this happened.) We did not have to deal with social media, web marketing, a cell phone, texting and a dozen other things that either (a) USED to be free but now cost money or (b) we didn’t’ have then and must have now to deal with the world and work.

To those who say they do not have enough time — I empathize. But instead of comparing yourself to famous people and setting yourself up for another “fail,” I compassionately suggest that you look around at those who take your time and give nothing back but negativity, or those who take you for granted and do not enrich your life in any way. Learn to say “no” to them and “yes” to yourself. It is not easy, but it can be done. And then, you WILL have more time. And you will have fought for it and earned it, so treasure it and do something with it that illuminates your life.

NEW MAGAZINE, NEW COLUMN:  BELLESPRIT

I am writing a new “past lives” column for Bellesprit (“bell-es-PREE”) Magazine.  Bellesprit means “beautiful spirit” in French, and at the helm is my friend and fellow intuitive, Belle Salisbury.  It’s an online publication, which means you don’t have to look for it any further than your computer screen!  And best of all, there’s no subscription fee.

This column will focus on YOUR past lives — but there are certain parameters.  Don’t just say “who was I?”  You have hundreds of lives to look at, but only some of them will be relevant to the Here and Now!  So focus on one of these:

• a phobia (“why am I afraid of spiders…getting my head wet…eating at a stranger’s house?”)
• an obsession (“I used to hate hearing German spoken and now I want to learn to speak it myself…I have a compulsion to save Victorian houses…when I see a dead animal by the road I have to stop and bury it.”)
• a place you’ve never been to that you are drawn to (“Why do I love Switzerland…the Gobi Desert…Route 66?”)
• a person or relationship (“why do I try so hard to please my mother even though she always belittles me…why can’t I forget the guy I had a crush on in third grade…I saw a picture of a girl in a newspaper and it was like I knew her for years.”)

 EMPOWER READINGS:  YEAR TWO

It’s a phrase I use in so many of my counseling sessions:  do you know what your “sentence of passion” is?   Finally, I have created a full 90 minute session where you can discover what lights your life’s fireworks.

So many people are at a crossroads these days when it comes to direction.  Far from being merely  “what am I supposed to do now?” it becomes “what do I do with the rest of my life?”  In this specialized consultation, I work with you to identify what you want your life to say to the world!  Your sentence of passion is not who you are, or what you do, or even how you do it – it’s the legacy you will bequeath to every encounter.  Included in this session price is your complete Numerology Life Report, to examine which gifts you selected for this incarnation will bring your sentence of passion to life.

Because these sessions take some preparation on BOTH sides (yes, you get a little homework), I only have FOUR SPOTS per month for this new client dialogue.  These sessions are $300 and can be scheduled through my contact page.

PERSONAL READING SCHEDULE CHANGES

Following up on last month’s comments regarding this, my “Seven” year, I am making some changes to my availability for personal readings (all times EASTERN TIME ZONE):

• MONDAYS: 1 to 4:30 and 8:30-10:00 pm
• TUESDAYS:   SOUL PLAN READINGS have priority; if one is scheduled for that day then my whole day is reserved.  Otherwise:  9-noon, 1-4:30 pm, and 7-10 pm.
• THURSDAYS:   9-noon and 1-4:30 pm
• FRIDAYS (if I am not on the road): 9-noon.

WEDNESDAYS continue to be my day off; no session appointments or phone calls accepted.

My rare weekends off the road will be announced on my what’s new page or in an email (so sign up for our newsletter list in the upper right corner of the page!).  Those weeks will be devoted to my local folks, and private parties, because when I don’t have to unpack-and-repack the car and the suitcases, my week frees up amazingly!

I realize that I have fewer slots for one-on-one appointments and parties than you are used to, but with my continued heavy travel schedule, new ventures (the Master Class, my weekly radio show) and spiritual journeying entering the calendar, my availability window is smaller.  This may mean that you will have to wait a few days to a week or two for an appointment.  If you want an evening appointment, I will only be available Monday and Tuesday evenings.  Evening appointments go FAST and there may be a 3-4 week waiting period if you cannot arrange your schedule for a daytime session.

So – get to me ASAP if you need to schedule a session with me and you won’t be near one of my show venues.  Use our contact form and I will be right back to you with the soonest appointment slot.

AND SPEAKING OF THOSE FREE WEEKENDS…

I really love doing “sponsored” weekends where I come to a new town to do lectures, workshops and readings.   A sponsored weekend is when a shop, a CoM congregation, a Meetup group, or similar like-minded people bring me to town as the one-(wo)man show.  A great example of this is my annual visit to Bill and Bob and the folks in York PA through the sponsorship of New Visions Books and Gifts.

I always take these last weeks of the year to plan my next twelve months, and those plans are often shaped by the numerology of the year ahead.  For me, 2012 is a “7” year: a time for delving deep inside, and deciding what it is I want…what needs changing or jettisoning…what part of my inner self has been neglected or denied over the past years since the last “7.”  It’s also a very important year healthwise, in that whatever one does for oneself – good or bad – it will have double the “oomph.”  So the advice is to take advantage of the energy and do it right for your well-being!

Let me share with you some of the thoughts/affirmations I have come up with for my own journey through 2012…

PHYSICAL:

• Call forth and create my optimal body without concentrating on statistics.
• Honor my body as it is, rather than mourn what it is no longer.
• Reconnect daily with my surroundings in a meaningful way.

MENTAL:

• Listen to podcasts by people I believe.
• Use my Pause bracelet (more on this in a moment) to breathe, be present, bring myself to the moment and know I am safe.
• Rest my mind an hour before bed.

EMOTIONAL:

• Allow my emotions, rather than judge them.  Then move on.
• Step into my Higher Self to let go of judging others.
• Catch “reactions” and turn them into “responses.”

SPIRITUAL:

• Review everything in my life and simplify, simplify, simplify!
• Everything, viewed with right vision, is opportunity.
• I am enough.
