Remember the old March in-like-a-lion-out-like-a-lamb thing? Well May/June took a piece of the action, with all of the severe weather and tornadic activity as the calendar changed. Ma Feathers even found herself hunkered down in the basement half-bath with two rather freaked Maine Coon cats waiting for a tornado to pass by our little vale. It touched down about ten miles away and took its sweet time dissipating. So we are extra EXTRA glad to see the sunshine and puffy clouds today.

CALLING ALL HAPPILY MARRIED COUPLES!

Yes, you read right. Ma Feathers is discussing a book project with a potential co-author, and it is NOT going to be about how to fix bad situations, but rather how to learn from the good ones. The book will focus on what makes for happy and fulfilling relationships by concentrating on what works, showcasing couples who understand what goes into long term and loving relationships, and giving exercises, questions-for-dialogue and resources to help any relationship become a full-spectrum, strong partnership.

We are looking for happy people: people who have been married/in a relationship for more than ten years where BOTH partners are fulfilled, mutually appreciative, and stable. If you are one of these lucky folks (or know someone who is) please send an email to wordsvoices@capital.net with the subject line 60/60. In the body of the email, tell us:

Who you are (name, where you live, and how to get in touch with you)
How long you and your partner have been together
The three things you find have strengthened your relationship
What specifically you would like to share/teach other couples that you think would make a positive difference

Please spread the word. We are going to choose six to eight couples to interview and to be part of the book project.

CALLING ALL PEOPLE IN THE TIDEWATER VIRGINIA AREA!

I am putting out real feelers to do a workshop weekend in the Tidewater area of Virginia – for you folks who don’t live there, that’s the Norfolk/Newport News/Virginia Beach etc. area of southeastern Virginia, right above the North Carolina border. Am looking for any and all suggestions about groups or venues who would be interested in having a dynamic, funny, inspirational speaker lead workshops that will change the lives of those who attend. Remember, what I do isn’t always the “wicky woo” but sometimes just taking your life challenges and flying through them with courage and wisdom — so I can speak with churches, support groups, etc. as well as Metaphysical/New Age venues. What’s New May

Still daylight at 7pm. The peepers are in full chorus. Today was warm enough that it felt “odd” after such a long, long, LONG winter. But I am grateful that we seem to have gotten through to spring at last! And it’s starting off with a bang — this weekend I am off to York Harbor, Maine, to do a Master Mediumship Class (invitation only) with the one and only John Holland. John loved YOUR SOUL’S PLAN and had very kind words to say about it, so I am pleased I can say thank you in person. And who knows? This may mean that I am doing a lot more gallery events in my future travels. So stay tuned!

Lightseeds Office

I’ve said for some time that I need an assistant. Sometimes it’s just for data entry, and that’s easy to find locally — but someone who knows how to get Ma Feathers out on the Web and into the World as well as she would (if she had time)? That’s been a lot tougher to locate. But I’ve finally hit the jackpot with the very talented Holly Matson, Chief Wizard at Lightseeds Office. Holly’s specialty is working with those of us who tread the Road Less Traveled: after many years of experience in office administration and marketing communications, Holly saw it was time to pursue her dream. She has a deep desire to support spiritual and holistic workers, as well as businesses in all fields who need more staff than they have. She also shares her expertise by teaching basic and intermediate computer skills.

Pennsylvania Workshops Next Month!

June sees me in Pennsylvania twice for my favorite weekend combo of lecture, workshops, and readings. The first is May 31 through June 2, and is my annual summer visit to the magical New Visions Books and Gifts. Bill Trivett and Bob Hall are once more graciously hosting me, and we’ll be introducing a new workshop there: Life as Kintsukuroi. In Japanese, that means “to repair with gold,” and is the art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken. You see, it’s one thing to have a positive attitude. It’s another to acknowledge the gifts in challenge, to never un-wish even the most difficult experiences we’ve had. You’ll discover how to own every problem, every so-called mistake, every pain and wounding and extract the gold within to repair, redress and make strong and beautiful every part of your life. We’ll also be reprising Deck-a-Dance, the popular workshop on learning to read any Oracle or Divination deck outside the Tarot spectrum the minute you pick it up. Guided Meditation Best I’ve Experienced

Loved the class on The Weaving of Your Lives. First part was so informative, so much information, all of which I wanted to get thoroughly. The guided meditation was the best I’ve experienced and I really was able to see a lot more than usual. I had healing when my Higher Self was speaking. The past life question and answer part at the end owas fabulous. What a gift you have! The tools — handouts and booklists etc. that were provided showed me where to go from here. (Loved your sense of humor, too!)
